Description

These glazing blocks are 12 mm wide, 3, 4 or 5 mm thick and 100 mm long. In order to comply with the installation guidelines (NPR 3577; Nederlandse Praktijk Richtlijn; "eisen voor de beglazing van kozijnen, ramen en deuren in buitengevels"), use these blocks best with glass of a maximum thickness of 10 mm.

Main characteristics of glazing blocks 12 mm wide:

tick-marks  Glazing blocks made of polypropylene
tick-marks  Impact resistant, even at low temperatures
tick-marks  Universally applicable; ventilating properties of tunnel blocks and the strength of grid blocks
tick-marks  Length 100 mm, width 12 mm, thickness of your choice
tick-marks  Various widths and thicknesses available (always 100 mm length)
tick-marks  See NPR-3577 for correct placement guidelines and use of the glazing blocks

These 12 mm wide glazing blocks are supplied:

tick-marks  Available in a net of 100 pieces or a box of 1,000 pieces

Points of attention:

tick-marks  Use this size glazing blocks for glass with a maximum thickness of 10 mm
tick-marks  Preferably, do not place glazing blocks on top of each other to compensate for a different circumferential clearance, but place 1 block with the correct thickness. Thinner blocks have less or no drainage channel and that is precisely the purpose of the blocks; ventilating effect and the removal of moisture
tick-marks  The glazing blocks ensure that (insulating) glass does not stand directly on the frame. This allows moisture to drain to preserve the sealant of the insulating glass and of course also the frame. Therefore, choose the right blocks and place them in the right way
tick-marks  The placement of the glazing blocks differs per situation (for example, the glazing of a tilt and turn window is completely different from the glazing of a fixed window). Be well informed to avoid placing the blocks incorrectly. Incorrect placement can lead to damage to the frame and / or glass!
